    • What is food-grade silicone?

      Silicone is a rubber-like material that starts out as a pure form of very fine grain sand. Through a series of heat treatment and processing, the silicone base material is formed. This material meets all US FDA and Europen LFGB regulations for food contact safety. The silicone base is then colored and molded into bakeware shapes. The result of this molding process is a finished piece of Freshware silicone bakeware. Food-grade silicone does not react with food. It doesn't produce any hazardous fumes. Silicone is not toxic and safe to use in kitchen. And it is reusable after a lifetime of use.  

    • What is a pinch test?

      Cheaper brands often use plastic fillers, so it is not safe for high-temperature baking. Pinch and twist a bit of the silicone, if it turns white, it’s got fillers. Solid silicone will retain its color. Freshware’s products are made from 100% pure, food-grade silicone that meets US FDA and European LFGB safety standards. They are also BPA, PVC & Phthalate FREE.

    • How to clean the silicone product?  

      It is recommended that you soak the mold in hot water with a few drops of lemon juice or wash with mild soapy water. This not only removes any residual food, but it also removes any odors that may linger on the mold. Or you can place it in the dishwasher. Be sure the mold is thoroughly dry before use. Do not use harsh detergents, scouring pads or abrasive materials.

    • Some food sticks to my silicone mold. Why is this?

      Always lightly apply oil, cooking spray, or butter on the surface to improve its non-stick ability for the first time use. This step may not need to be repeated for future use. After baking, remove from oven and place on cooling rack until baked goods to cool completely before removal. To remove baked or frozen goods, invert mold and push from bottom. Please keep in mind that recipes with excess sugar may also cause pastry to stick to the mold.  

    • What temperatures can I use for silicone mold?

      Our silicone mold is safe to use from -40 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius) to +446 degrees Fahrenheit (+230 degrees Celsius).  

    • Can I use Freshware silicone molds in the refrigerator, freezer or microwave?  

      Yes, but do not use “Crisp” setting in microwave.

    • What recipes can I prepare with Freshware’s molds?

      Depends on the variety shapes, many customers find some interesting ways to use Freshware’s molds to make homemade muffins, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, quiches, loaves, candy, chocolate, cornbread, banana bread, cheesecake, butter, pudding, jello shots, caramel, ice cubes, juice popsicle, frozen baby foods, ice cream, clays, candles or soaps.

    • How do I make crystal-clear ice cubes? 

      Use purified water or reverse osmosis filtered water to fill the mold, and freeze it for 4-6 hours.

    • How to remove the ice cubes from silicone mold?  

      Turn the tray upside down and run hot tap water over the bottom and sides for a few seconds, then twist and push the ice cubes out from the bottom. It's always better to store cubes in a dish or freezer bag instead of in the mold.

    • I see some white/waxy residues or floaties after making ice cubes. Why?

      Silicone condenses minerals on the surface of the cubes, so white/waxy residues are formed. Just rinse the cubes briefly before drop them in the drinks. Using purified or filtered water instead of tap water should also prevent cloudiness and floaties.

    • How can I tell whether a mold has been adequately treated?  

      If a silicone product emits fumes or odors when placed in the oven, it has not been properly treated.

    • How long do Freshware’s molds last? 

      Our products will last for up to 3,000 uses.

    • Is it true that cooking time is faster in a silicone mold than in a conventional metal pan?

      Yes, cooking time may be shorter since silicone conducts heat faster. We advise customers use toothpicks to test readiness of the baked goods.

    • Can I remove baked goods from a mold as soon as it comes out of the oven?

      No, always allow baked goods to cool completely before removal to prevent breakage.  

    • Will silicone mold melt or lose it’s shape in the oven?

      No, Freshware’s silicone mold will resistant heat up to +446 degrees Fahrenheit (+230 degrees Celsius). It will maintain its shape regardless of frequency of use or manner of storage.

    • Will silicone mold retain any odors or flavors?  

      Yes, due to silicone’s property, an oily feeling after washing is normal, as is discoloration. Strong flavored foods may leave a trace of their scent on the mold.

  • How do I place an order?

    Once you receive product information from our sales representative, you will need to Contact Us to place an order. You can email or fax us a Purchase Order, or email us your company contact and shipping information along with your order. We will promptly quote a shipping cost and email you an invoice with payment instructions.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept Paypal, bank wire transfer, company check, money order, and cashier's check. We cannot accept credit card payments directly due to the high transaction fees and potential fraud.

  • Is it safe to buy from you?

    Yes, you can be assured that we are a legitimate corporation registered in our state. We have been wholesaling kitchenware with a selected group of qualified manufacturers and suppliers ensuring top quality and safety products. We stand behind everything we sell.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Yes, we ship worldwide. We can arrange for shipping and give you a competitive freight quote via insured air freight with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, BaxGlobal, and others. We can also arrange for product to be picked up by your freight forwarder if you have a preferred shipper. In some cases, we can bill your shipper account directly.

  • Do you offer drop-ship fulfillment?

    Yes, we can do drop-ship to end customers only in the United States. Shipping and handling fees will be added onto the order.

  • Do I have to be a registered business to buy from you?

    You should be a registered business with a valid re-sale certificate from your state/country. We may require a copy of this prior to your first purchase. You need to contact your state's Tax Assessor or Secretary of State for more information about registering your business.

  • I have some product for sale. How do I sell it to you?

    We are always interested in buying wholesale kitchen-related products. If you have any product for sale, please contact our sales department and we will get back to you if we are interested in buying. Remember, all products must carry a valid manufacturer’s warranty and be sure to specify quantity available and price per item.

  • What is your Return Policy?

  • How long will it take to receive my product once I pay?

    Product will ship out within 2 business days of receipt of payment. Usually, it will ship out the same day or next day and will take up to 5 business days to receive, depending on your location. For export shipments, it may take a little longer to receive the shipment, usually 7-10 days. Tracking numbers will be provided to you as soon as they are available.

  • Can I buy less than the minimum quantity or just one sample unit?

    In some cases, we can sell smaller than the minimum quantity for a particular item. Samples may be available at a higher price, depending on the item.

  • If I buy more than the minimum quantity, can I get a better price?

    Our products are priced competitively, usually with the lowest price offered up-front. We may be able to offer a slightly better price per unit if you are buying a significantly higher quantity so please inquire prior to purchasing.

  • Who provides the product warranty?

    Each product description specifies the warranty duration. Products that have manufacturer warranties are serviced directly by the manufacturer and need to be sent back to them for warranty service. Most of the product detail pages have links to the manufacturer's support site. Other products are repaired/replaced through the distributor of the product, and usually RMAs have to go through us first.   • How much is shipping?

    Once you are ready to place an order, we will give you a shipping quote. If you are located outside the U.S., we can give you a competitive freight quote, or in some cases, you can arrange pick-up with your own freight forwarder.
